As 20-year-old Jazzmin Jones prepares to graduate this June, she is building more than a future for herself. She is creating opportunities and inspiration for others along the way.
Jazzmin has been honing her creative talents for years, specializing in custom T-shirt designs, party décor, floral arrangements and other personalized creations for special events. Her work reflects not only talent, but a big heart. Inspired by her grandmother’s artistic spirit, Jazzmin learned early on how creativity could transform ordinary moments into meaningful memories.
“Watching my grandmother create beautiful things gave me the confidence to express myself,” Jazzmin shared. “Now I love using my creativity to make people happy and bring their ideas to life.”
Beyond her business, Jazzmin is committed to uplifting others through community service. She helps her parents operate Young Fresh and Friends, an organization dedicated to giving back and supporting families. This summer, the organization will host a free youth program designed to provide children with a safe, positive and engaging environment to learn and grow.
Jazzmin also works at a school supporting pregnant teens and young parents, an experience that has deeply shaped her mission. Through mentorship, encouragement and creativity, she reminds students that their talents and passions can become pathways to success.
Whether she’s donating décor for a student celebration or creating custom items that help someone feel seen and celebrated, Jazzmin believes everyone deserves moments of joy and encouragement.
Future Forward
After graduation, Jazzmin plans to continue her education at Wayne State University (the alma mater of Empowered Flower Girl’s founder!) this fall, where she will pursue a bachelor’s degree on her journey to becoming a speech-language pathologist. Her goal is to help children and families strengthen their communication skills and confidence.
Jazzmin’s journey shows that when young women embrace their gifts and use them to serve others, they truly become emPOWERed.
